This section provides information regarding support staff appraisals. Appraisals provide a positive management tool to support the achievement of objectives at all levels. They demonstrate clear links between individual performance and school challenges and needs. They also help individuals to understand how their performance impacts on the school’s performance. Appraisals should clearly provide evidence of performance throughout the year, which will enable Headteachers to measure and recognise that performance and to provide support where challenges arise.
