Planning a recruitment exercise

Planning a recruitment exercise

Before commencing a recruitment exercise it is important to be clear about a number of factors.  The first is confirmation that recruitment to a vacant post is appropriate.  There may be situations where options other than recruitment should be explored before any recruitment actions are taken, for example, whether a reduction in staffing levels is required and can be supported by not recruiting a replacement for the leaver, or where it would be more appropriate to recruit to a different type of post if the needs of the organisation are changing.
